Ministry Focus: Church Planting & Leadership Development

Mollicas-2014

Ministry Overview

After completing language school in Perugia, Massimo will join Lucio in leadership in this church. Our ministry will have three different aspects: Church Planting, Leadership Development, and College Ministry. In the book of Acts, Antioch was the home base for Paul’s missionary journeys from which he and others were sent out to evangelize and plant churches. Our great prayer is for CEB to be an Antioch sort of church that is a light to plant other churches throughout Italy. In the Perugia region, many of the surrounding cities have no known believers in them. Throughout the last 30 years of ministry, CEB has had a radio station and TV show from which to broadcast the word of God across central Italy. As a result, there are many people throughout central Italy that desire to learn more about the Word of God. These people provide a great starting point for future church plants. One of the main goals at CEB is to train leadership who can both serve at the church as ministry leaders and elders, but also who can serve as church planters. With a church that has 50% of its members under 35 years old, there is great potential for the future. We are privileged to also partner with Aurora Mission’s Italian Theological Academy (part of The Master’s Academy International), which is located on the island of Sicily, to train leaders in expository preaching, biblical counseling, theology, and Bible survey. Perugia is home to 70,000 college students, with about 30% of them coming from other countries to learn Italian. These students are not being reached with the gospel. We are eager to proclaim Jesus to them.
