Greetings From Pastor Paul!

Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar. The Lord smelled the soothing aroma; and the Lord said to Himself, “I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done. While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” (Genesis 8:20-22 – NASB95)

If you missed it, we had a FANTASTIC evening together on Wednesday (6/14) at our first “Summer Nights at the Bridge.” We had a wonderful time of fellowship over dinner and then my friend Scott Klusendorf gave us incredible instruction on how to engage with people who disagree with us on the topic of abortion. If you missed it you MUST listen to the message he delivered to us.
This coming Wednesday (6/21), we have the privilege of listening to Dr. Jake Hebert from the Institute for Creation Research (ICR), as he delivers a message entitled, “Global Warming and the Christian.” This is a hot topic around the world today as recently highlighted by President Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord. What is the science behind this? Does this have anything to do with the Bible? Come on Wednesday night and find out.
But wait, there’s more! We don’t just have great instruction for the adults, we have a fantastic program for our children. Our Bridge Kids Summer Adventure is a free program that utilizes VBS materials from Answers in Genesis. Over 100 children had a fantastic time this past Wednesday and there is plenty of room for more. Invite your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and their families to join us every Wednesday night.
Now on the topic of CHILDREN’S MINISTRY… We need more people to work with our children on Sundaymorning and Wednesday night. There are four different times that we need workers each week to pour into the precious lives the Lord has entrusted to us: Sundays from 9:00-10:15am; 10:45-11:45am; Noon-1:30pm (during the Hispanic Worship Service); and Wednesday night from 6:45-8:30pm. This is vital to the future of our church and its impact on the world. It is imperative that all of us Think 3 generations and invest in the future. If you are a Senior citizen or middle-aged, please take this opportunity to pass on the wisdom and love of God to the generations behind you; especially our youngest generation. If you are in high school, college-aged or a young adult, this is the generation coming up right behind you and they look up to you! Start now thinking of the generations coming behind you and invest for the future.
If you are interested in helping with this vital ministry, please contact Xiomara Bueno, our Children’s Director, at 818-776-1500 extension 115. There are opportunities to serve on-going and opportunities to help on occasion. You will never regret investing in the lives of young people! They are the key to the future of our church and its impact worldwide.
